I notice that when I use the latest FGLRX drivers from AMD (8.881), I have to disable Tear Free Desktop in the AMD Catalyst Control Center and enable Sync To VBlank at the CompizConfig Settings Manager. Only then does my desktop run smooth. Hopefully this is helpful to other people. -- You
