Dances with contra corners bring in the out couple (though I admit it can be a bit disorienting to join that figure when out). For alternating corners dances be careful to have the correct couple lead to involve the couple who are out at the top.Regards,RussellSent from a phone; please pardon

Recently I called Maia McCormick's Train Delay to a crowd of eight. There's a 16 count shadow interaction that sends you back to your partner for a 16 count swing. When the people on the ends do that, they're effectively in for half of

[Callers] No Wait-Out Contras

2023-08-09 Thread Susan English via Contra Callers
Hi, Guys - I want to collect contras where there is no wait-out at the end of the line. A dance that comes to mind is Three Thirty-Three, because of the grand R up and down the line. Can you name others? and other figures that make a no wait-out possible? Thanx, Susan [image: ] [image: ☺]

I’ll second those two. And add Two Birthdays and an Anniversary by Rhodri Davies. This is a Becket dance with a swing with your shadow. The end effects can confuse if neutral couples change sides too soon. Stand improper at the top, proper at the bottom, for A1 &2. Change sides after the Shadow
