ok, but there is no indication that it is doing anything until the cdrom
drawer opens with the newly burnt cd.
This is a warning from Mandrake (ie Crux) GTK+ 1.2 theme, because eroaster
isn't creating correct widgets..

If you run fc-cache in /usr/X11R6/lib/fonts so it descends recursively,
the result is useless, programs don't run.
If you make a change, e.g. moving a font
can't kill the FAM process as my normal user
even though the FAM process seems to be running under my normal user. I get
an 'Operation not permitted' error.
FAM is a root daemon.
