Don't you think it may all be a comedy created to convince us that there is some division between the president and congress?  After all when everybody in Washington is a Republican, the people might begin to suspect that we're living under a dictatorship.  What better method to convince them they're wrong than to have congress pretend to have a mind of its own.  It's all just too, too cute.  Prudy
