Miami Attorney Jack Thompson announces today his
intent to represent more than a thousand American citizens,
including former Clinton loyalist and now leading Clinton
critic, Larry Nichols, in a federal lawsuit setting aside the
United States Senate's verdict in the impeachment trial of
the President.

The primary ground for this federal lawsuit was enunciated
this week by Pennsylvania Senator Arlen Specter: The two
Articles of Impeachment were "not proven" because there
was no trial, as mandated by the United States Constitution.
The House Trial Managers were prevented from pre-
senting the House's case. The sham nature of the
proceedings renders null and void any verdict therein. An
additional basis voiding the verdict was rampant and
unconscionable fact-finder misconduct, the ring leader of
which was Iowa Senator Tom Harkin who, despite raising
his hand and taking a solemn oath to put aside partisanship
and fairly consider all the facts and the law, pronounced on
the eve of the "trial" that the Articles of Impeachment were
"a pile of dung" and then was joined by other Senators who
continually violated their oaths by criticizing publicly the
evidence.

Further, Senator Robert Byrd publicly announced that the
President was in fact guilty of "high crimes and
misdemeanors" but stated he would not vote to convict
because the economy is doing so well. Any and all
Senators who violated their oaths, as did Senator Byrd,
should have been barred, because of fact-finder
misconduct, from voting on the Articles of Impeachment.
This federal lawsuit will be filed shortly.

                         Larry Nichols at 501-329-1159.

[COMMENT: I don't think that this is a surprise to most
Americans - because even a non-legalistic person like
myself could tell that this was a MOCK Trial. So if it was
just for show to fool the American people, IT DIDN'T
WORK!!!! IMHO - Nothing but STINK can come of this
non-guilty verdict. Dot Bibee]

SUGGESTION: Send this to all of YOUR media contacts,
and also your own Congress members (everyone has
THREE!! Call you LOCAL Senator's Office (does no good
to contact the D.C. offices) and REGISTER your TRUE
feelings of this verdict when it comes down TODAY!!!
