After the bombing of the Chinese embassy, many western news media commented on the possible threat the students' outrage represented to the Chinese govt. which is currently very nervous about 'stability'. China is the next big enemy which the western elite has in its sights. At the centre of the foreign legations and leading their resistance was the British legation (UK was then THE superpower). 8 western nations (mostly imperialists) ganged up on China, organised the first incipient New World Order global police force, marched into Peking, relieved the legations after a 2 month siege and sacked Peking. China's humiliation was deep. The Chinese do not forget these things. The elite forces are aware of timing - they work with it. 10 years from Tienanmen and 99 years from the Embassy siege, might they not - with their no-way accidental bombing of the Chinese Embassy - be "announcing" the opening of a Cold War against China which may be intended to upgrade to a hot war some time in the next 20 years? Why would it be in the interest of the US to antagonise China So? Where do you pluck the 20 years figure from? Is Richard Moore an authority on this subject - is he privy to the Innermost dealings of governments? But then after all that nit-picking, There is always the "Its possible." Going back to the bombing, I agree that saying it was an accident is risible, but faulty intelligence has led to many a worse disaster in the past, and it is entirely possible that the US was "screwed" by, well, basically double agents. As for sowing the seeds of discontent amongst the dissillusioned of china, I'm afraid I can't follow the logic of bombing the embassy, and having all china unite against you..... Hardly an effective policy if that was the aim.
