Sparky Linux is in my by far the best Debian based alternative in my opinion except that it doesn't have a text based installer with accessibility option that will install console speech. So the result is an accessible graphical system only. Many blind users who cannot see a mouse cursor love text

Yes, that's the problem we are all having - all of us that want just CLI - are having. No networking after installation. That's why I recommended Vinux Debian CLI - but it will not install for you for some reason. It works on my computers. I even have it working on a USB stick with Ventoy.

I have no idea how your running voxin embedded without speechd-up, but the script does not detect your dectalk nor does it detect your Voxin voice. I assume it only recognizes voxin voices that use speechd-up. As you know speechd-up replaced voxin-up that Voxin was using previously. Good luck
