First of all, thanks for the reply
I have some interesting news. After several tests, getting busybox compiled
with different options (version 1.11 which is in www.busybox.net), finally I
was able to solve the problem in busybox =1.10 (lenny, sid, and last stable
version).

Please, try typing busybox mount instead of mount.
eg.
busybox mount -t squashfs -o loop image.squashfs /mountpoint

/image.squashfs /target
returns:
mount: Block device required
Both problems (-t auto and -t squashfs) aren't in etch's busybox so I
think it could be a bug in busybox' mount or perhaps a regression.
