Hmm, I have to correct myself.
It did not work when I reopened; and I did verify at the time that I did run
the correct version of gdb on my machine.
However, after yet another update, all seems fine now. I'm not sure what
exactly happened, but to me, this version of

Any chance that the patch from upstream could be back-ported to 1.4?
I'm building packages and at the moment I have to keep the patches/
directory in sync manually because of this, which is a great pain.
