When I have fingerprint-login to root enabled, kdesu no longer works. Strating
a program with kdesu then doesn't do anything, but probably wait for some
input.
Good news: Today I removed a Myricom PCI-card from my Alpha-Machine
and now lspci works without problems. However, I haven't touched the
machine for several weeks and did an 'aptitude upgrade' of ~100
packages today before removing the PCI-card. I have not tested lspci
before, so I don't know
