Hi all,
I have recently noticed a weird phenomenon viewing postscript
files with evince-gtk. It is easier shown than explained, so
let me try to indicate a reproduction recipe.

Hi,
I've just tried avahi-fix2.diff, which prevents scp completion from
hanging in a timeout for me.
FWIW, this issue does not just show up when ipv6 is not properly
configured, but also when some reverse DNS is unavailable (because my
ADSL modem doesn't do reverse DNS I think).

As promised in my previous post, I tried lilo 23.0 on my old

perfectly for me. I do not experience the triple-fault continuous
reboot loop that William claims to experience on his Pentium II
machine.

Hi,
This issue is still present in 1:5.5p1-4
Here is a patch against that version that fixes the issue. It's not
perfect but is a start. It should really test the return value of
daemon() but there's nothing much you can do if it fails.
