I checked the postinst script and it should handle multiple chips correctly.

If I install firmware-b43-installer, it can recognize 4331 and
(wrongly) assume that it is unsupported.

Maybe gnome-system-monitor was running while the new package got
installed.
So there could be a conflict while upgrading the running program.
Now I figured out, that after killall gnome-system-monitor it works
as it's expected.

I would bump python-dev and gcc to at least Recommends, maybe even Depends.
In my opinion it is pretty unusual to use cython without also compiling
at some point.
Also dynamic compilation via pyxinstall does not work without python-dev.

lib{nss,pam}-ldap. For this reason the Depends on these packages was
already lowered to a Recommends, but as they are installed by default
the prompts will still appear.
I can confirm this bug is still present with procps version
1:3.3.3-2ubuntu3 (on Ubuntu).
I have to basically run top; less empty_file, then press qq to fully
quit out of top and less, and then my history-search-forward/backward works
again.

Because it is part of a normal environment. Close the bug if you don't
