could you please check whether you have supervisord.conf or
etc/supervisord.conf in your home directory.
supervisor will read configuation file from your current directory if
you have one, then the system's global configuation.

Why are you even trying to turn off sparse_superblocks? The only
reason why we have the option to turn it off is for compatibility with
kernels over a decade old. I'm half tempted to remove all trace of it
from the man page and from the output of e2fsprogs, and leave it wired
permanently on.
