Currently poppler FTBFS when compiled in new architectures (as ppc64el) that is
not supported on the outdated package
This is puzzling. This problem was fixed upstream in highlighting-kate
0.5.8.1. (See the changelog.) 0.5.8.2 fixes a similar problem with
perl. I cannot reproduce what you're seeing with my locally installed
version (not installed through debian).

that dvbcut got called this way:
/usr/bin/dvbcut -idx
But dvbcut expects here another parameter specifiying the filename to store the
index.

Thanks for your patch, but how is a patch modifying generated files
suitable for upstream?
I'm still interested in a status update on the Python and wxGlade
wxWidgets3 transition. That's where work is needed IMHO and where I
could give a hand if necessary.
