I still can't login to a GNOME session using sddm.
Using startx and running gnome-session from ~/.xinitrc everything works
fine.

Please note that the Hurd (admittedly not a release architecture) uses a
multiarch tag of hurd-i386, with only two components, which is why I'd
suggested *-* rather than *-*-*. Sorry for not stating that explicitly

Such a version means a native package; only software written specifically
for Debian which makes no sense outside it should use the native format.
Even if you're both upstream
on the upside...the above link has a branch that successfully builds an
installable package...
on the down side this package turns out to be one of those 'one-function'
ones, so it probably just makes more sense to fold it into mist.

About 8 to 10 of our servers suffered from these issues in the last days. All
servers are virtualized on
a vSphere cluster. It happens with amd64 and i386 machines. Our sole
non-virtualized server with Debian
8 and linux-image-3.16.0-8-amd64 (Nagios under heavy load) runs stable until
now.
"xterm -T ä" crashes the X-server too.
So it seems rather to be a bug in xfce4.

thanks for the updated version. I've installed the new version on one
affected machine which crashed after some hours with the old kernel.
It's currently running with the updated version since 9 hours without
