Package: logcheck-database-1.3.13
Version: squeeze
Severity: normal
/etc/logcheck/ignore.d.server/ssh is too aggressive in filtering out
messages. I accidentally left an SSH port coming in from the Internet
open, but I hadn't worried about it too much since I figured logcheck
would spam me
This is not a minor bug, it's a show-stopper that prevents the package
from working. I'm adding a lot more detail here in the hopes that a)
someone will make the trivial fix and b) to provide search engines more
detail in the meantime (it'd be really nice if I'd found this bug about

Package: ntp
Version: all?
Severity: annoying
PROBLEM: The manpage for ntptrace is wrong (looks like its for the old
C version instead of the new Perl version of 'ntptrace')
SOLUTION: Fix/rewrite the manpage (maybe from upstream)
NOTE: This is an upstream bug that claims to have been fixed
Package: fcheck
Version: 2.7.59-8
Severity: minor
fcheck should include logcheck ignore files, e.g.:
/etc/logcheck/ignore.d.server/fcheck
^\w{3} [ :0-9]{11} \w+ fcheck: INFO: Rebuild of the fcheck database
/var/lib/fcheck/fcheck\.dbf begun for \w+ using config file
/etc/fcheck/fcheck\.cfg
I like the idea of allowing multiple fallback repositories. It was
actually the one criteria I had for an apt-proxy replacement that approx
failed, but overall I liked it so much I used approx anyway. It seems a
lot faster and is certainly much more stable than apt-proxy.
Thanks,

When run from '/etc/init.d/approx start' the approx daemon should write
a PID file, but it's not. Something missing in the init script?

The approx package does not supply logcheck files, but it should. Here
are some examples, someone familiar with the codebase can undoubtedly
improve them.

I removed the pidfile creation some time ago, and the init script just

As far as I can tell, x11vnc doesn't create a menu item, which may be
confusing to some users, e.g., newbies wanting a remote desktop. It
should create a menu item.
I was also asked to pass this along, Make
it into the record, since I was unable to find
anything to this effect in Google or the Debian Bug DB.

Note, it's up to v1.4 now, and that version supports Passwordsafe v3
