I'm sorry but zim does no translation at all from properties in
style.conf to CSS. The config file is for the style of the user
interface, the CSS is hardcoded in the HTML template used.

Follow up on an old bug report for zim:
Finally got around fixing zim to work with Gtk2::StatusIcon and believe
this fixes the problem. Tested under xfce by killing the panel process
and starting a new one, zim icon is back in the tray after restart.

To be honest, I don't have a clue how to implement that. Quite possible
that this requires support for desktop sessions, something zim lacks at
the moment. *Maybe* the new gtk status icon takes care of this when it
makes it into the perl bindings, not sure though.

In version 0.21 there is an Edit source item in the Tools menu. This
calls an external editor to edit the source. Hope this solves your use case.

Hmmm, feel kind of silly that I didn't encounter this before. Problem is
that due to the : the whole string is automatically linked as a page.
The bug occurs because this is not a valid page name. I'll fix both the
autolink behavior and the check for valid page names.

A bug was fixed in 0.17 that prevented correct loading of the side pane
when invalid utf8 content was encountered in the file contents. Not sure
if this is the problem here. To start clean please delete .zim.cache
manually from the repository directory and check if the modification
times on
There was a bug if you had repositories with non-default home pages - I
guess this is the problem you describe, although more details would have
been helpful.
The problem I'm aware of is fixed in 0.17. The defaul home is still
Home, but you can set a non-default home page for a repository
This suggests that zim was not able to correctly determine the name of
the current page when saving - which is quite strange since it
apparently was able to do so when loading the page. To debug this I
