Hey
I didn't try to rebuild the Debian package with the fix, but this seems
fixed upstream in 88db9fd632bf3f650244ec69e2f4fd6b2aa5fd3d; this is a
new error raised by gcc-4.6. Attaching the upstream diff.

don't know whether you can get this information via some API. I am not
sure you can rely on uname -m. Would someone have precise information
for this?

NMU changes, then propagated to Ubuntu.
Reopening the Debian bug and reuploading the fix to Ubuntu.

Linaro should forward this upstream. will pick it up from there.
Sure; Ramana offered to do so, but didn't have time before his leave
these aren't tested as much.

It seems compression will be guessed with pristine-tar branches, but
not for .orig.tar upstream tarballs; that would be nice though! :-)
Thanks for considering,

noticed that my patch missed a call
spot of tryexec (this is what happens when you redo a patch locally
before sending it!) and fixed that; let me know if that's ok.

I didn't look at why the patch breaks (yet) and I don't have a smaller
