Hi,
When building an initrd.img for a system to boot from a software raid, the boot
process fails. The initrd kernel doesn't find the /dev/md/0 device and the
boot ends up in the busybox
I forgot to mention the drives in question are on an old adaptec scsi card.
(no hardware RAID) aic79xxx is the kernel driver.
Maybe the software raid works on other boxes?
It looks like it defaults to ntpdate.

Attempts to start X without an xorg.conf result in a locked system and
Xorg.0.log file(s) 10's of megabytes in size.
Until I can get the file chopped down to something useful, this is what's
repeated. It fills most of the file.
If I disable glx, X start fine, no acceleration.

A fresh install of Debian Testing PPC generates a number of xorg issues.
This one: an xorg.conf file is required. ('Xorg -configure' creates one)

A default install of Testing on a G3 12 iBook generated similar issues.
1. An xorg.conf is required. Otherwise, the ibook locks up.
2. The xorg.conf needs a disable glx stanze. I can enable dri and dri2.
Enable glx and the ibook is not recoverable without a power switch shutdown.

After the last update to a mixed Squeeze/Sid (KDE4 from Sid) I had this bug.
I deleted the knetworkmanagerrc file, started knetworkmanager --nofork and
still had the bug.
The fix described in the bug (grabbing a UUID from the kernel and using it in
knetworkmanagerrc) got things working
First, thanks for putting kde4 in experimental. I hope it is available with
Lenny in some way. It's not as stable as some desktops, but a great way to get
it into shape would be to have it in the Lenny repos.
I got the desktop working again, it was not simple.
