Package: bash-completion Version: 1:2.1-2 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate *** * What led up to the situation? On bash, I cannot autocomplete files starting with square brackets '['. Example, if I have a file [aText].txt, and I want to do: $> cat [<tab> The file won't autocomplete. * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? I usually just type the whole file just to have a workaround. But it would be tiresome for long filenames. * What was the outcome of this action? Filenames starting with square brackets can't autocomplete. * What outcome did you expect instead? Filenames starting with square brackets should autocomplete when the TAB key is pressed. *** End of the template - remove these template lines *** -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers testing-updates APT policy: (500, 'testing-updates'), (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 3.12-1-686-pae (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages bash-completion depends on: ii bash 4.3-2 ii dpkg 1.17.6 bash-completion recommends no packages. bash-completion suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
