How can I reproduce what you are seeing? The package doesn't use libtool,
and no .la files are produced or included. There should be no reference to
libxbase64. I'm not even sure what that is.

Oh. Darn. We are talking about different issues. Sorry, Chris. Your patch
has been included in my package submitted to mentors, but that submission
has stalled.

It builds for me several different ways. I've never been able to not build
it the way it was described. I don't know what else to do except keep the
submitted package up to date and see if it gets in eventually. If anyone
has a advice, I'm open.

Thanks. I've setup pbuilder, re-built (without issue), and uploaded the
signed package again with dput.

It builds and rebuilds for me on two different clean Debian environments. I

Thanks for your help.

Ah. missed the compat level because I changed the it to version 10 in the
debian/control file. Next upload will have debian/compat of 10, and
debian/control has "Build-Depends: debhelper (>= 10.0.0), binutils (>=

Thanks for the starting point. I had worked out the d/watch file enough
that it works locally (mentors.debian.net still complains), but I like your
wildcards better, so I'm using that one (mentors.debian.net still
complains). The simple short d/rules is very much appreciated. I only just

I've never been able to get the watch file to work right, and it is

debhelper format.

Very much appreciate the feedback. Willing to learn, but overwhelmed by the
Debian machinery.
Stupid question at the top: If I dput another package, does it update this
one or do I need to delete the currently uploaded package from mentors
first?

Dear mentors,
I am looking for a sponsor for my package "tinymux". I am the upstream

Looking forward to more packaging. Maybe become a Debian maintainer one day
if I can afford the time.

I'll keep trying to upload it, but all four of the files are removed. They
