We can see what was done in the snapshot and the maintainer did this by recovering from the snapshot sending to Salsa the work he had done and sent to the experimental. The issue is that we need a volunteer to finish the work, test and send it to unstable to resolve bugs (including CVEs), patches and send new versions of some other packages. A work that I see as delicate and needs to be well tested to guarantee quality. I would have to check if the Salsa snapshot matches the previous one, which it doesn't, new uploads still need to enter the experimental and I would have to check with the maintainer that I'm already pinging if he would be interested in continuing what he was doing given that he already has knowledge. And work has been done, the version 0.10.2 being pending can be upload done, which includes several fixes. But looking at Salsa there are many commits pending. Furthermore, there is a person who is reporting some problems with patch suggestions that would also have to be analyzed, his name is Julian Wollrath. But I want to see if I can help organize everything yet and an upload NMU is possible. https://salsa.debian.org/leandrocunha/libjxl/-/tree/0.9-snapshot?ref_type=heads https://snapshot.debian.org/package/jpeg-xl/0.9.0~git20230623.689da0f-4/
