Package: gnome-terminal Version: 3.44.1-1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
when using the terminal to solve a problem or to perform some other rather complex operation that cannot be described with a few sentences, I would like to be able to save the complete terminal contents to a file for reference in case I have to perform that same operation on a different machine. "Copy as HTML" is especially nice because colors are preserved. But sadly, "Select All" doesn't select the full contents of the scrollback buffer as you would expect, but merely what is currently visible. Well, you can select everything using the mouse, but this would be a pain for a huge number of lines. -- System Information: Debian Release: bookworm/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (800, 'testing'), (700, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 5.18.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_US:en Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages gnome-terminal depends on: ii dbus-user-session [default-dbus-session-bus] 1.14.0-2 ii dbus-x11 [dbus-session-bus] 1.14.0-2 ii dconf-gsettings-backend [gsettings-backend] 0.40.0-3 ii gnome-terminal-data 3.44.1-1 ii gsettings-desktop-schemas 43~alpha-1 ii libatk1.0-0 2.38.0-1 ii libc6 2.34-7 ii libdconf1 0.40.0-3 ii libgcc-s1 12.2.0-1 ii libglib2.0-0 2.73.3-3 ii libgtk-3-0 3.24.34-3 ii libpango-1.0-0 1.50.9+ds-1 ii libstdc++6 12.2.0-1 ii libuuid1 2.38.1-1 ii libvte-2.91-0 0.69.99-1 ii libx11-6 2:1.8.1-2 Versions of packages gnome-terminal recommends: ii gvfs 1.50.2-2 ii nautilus-extension-gnome-terminal 3.44.1-1 ii yelp 42.1-2 gnome-terminal suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
