Package: wiki.debian.orgX-Debbugs-CC: debian-...@lists.debian.org,deb...@tchung.org Hello, I want to report on the DebianDate macro of the Debian wiki not working correctly.
The DebianDate macro <https://wiki.debian.org/HelpOnDebianMacros> is supposed to return the release date of a supplied suite of Debian. But it returns the release date of the stable version of Debian (12.0), no matter what the argument is (stable, oldstable, oldoldstable). Apparently this was first noticed by Thomas Chung when updating the wiki's front page <https://wiki.debian.org/FrontPage?action=info> in mid-june. This macro helps having the release dates for different versions always up-to-date, thus it is annoying, and error prone, to have to replace it by a hardcoded date. Again see the wiki's front page for an example of that. The source code of the macro is at a repository <https://salsa.debian.org/debian/wiki.debian.org/-/tree/master/var/moin/data/plugin/macro/> owned by PaulWise. Just for the record, and to make crystal clear what the problem is, here is a simple example of the error: edit any page of the wiki and paste the following lines. <<DebianDate(stable)>>, <<DebianDate(oldstable)>>, <<DebianDate(oldoldstable)>> <<DebianCodename(stable)>>, <<DebianCodename(oldstable)>>, <<DebianCodename(oldoldstable)>> the output will be 2023-06-10, 2023-06-10, 2023-06-10 bookworm, bullseye, buster Best regards. -- Enviat amb Tutanota.
