The NTP server list should be moved into a file in the sources directory. Doing so separates them from the main configuration file. Also there is no need to restart the daemon if changing anything that is in the sources directory. Changes can be reloaded with: chronyc reload sources Since /etc/chrony/sources.d is already configured as a directory for chrony sources, it seems logical to have all the NTP servers and other sources in that directory.
