After deeper thinking it seems obvious

[4294673.14] scsi1 : sata_uli
And the mobo is a ULI based one. there is a Jmicron sata2
controller on it as well, but it is not supported. only the
southbridge (uli) sata ports are supported in linux as far as i can
tell. I am 100% positive that

should have posted my entire dmesg, just in case you guys needed
something else. but it seems for the sata, the first lines of
dmesg worked. There is only 1 line above sata.

I suspect the unsupported SATA controller to be this, but I'm not
