Package: ndiswrapper-utils Severity: normal The ndiswrapper-utils package depends on ndiswrapper-modules even though the user might have compiled the kernel themselves and the modules are not any use.
The ndiswrapper-modules package says: Description: Ndiswrapper linux kernel module This package contains the ndiswrapper loadable kernel modules for the kernel-image-2.6.8-2-386 package. . If you compiled a custom kernel, you will most likely need to compile a custom version of this module as well. The ndiswrapper-source package has been provided for this purpose. The modules are only needed by users that are not compiling the package themselves. Any users that need to use ndiswrapper-source will not need to use ndiswrapper-modules and therefore ndiswrapper-utils should not be installing it.
