The respondent in #58 jumped on IRC, so I thought I'd provide a bit of extra info. They have opened a new ticket about this upstream[1], as the old one [2] appears to be dead. They've tested it all the way up to SVN head from upstream and its still a problem, so will affect all versions in Debian.
