Hello, Stop CC: too much, I received last message 4 times. [EMAIL PROTECTED] is enough.

Since old Mail::IMAPClient maintainer ended maintaining it, imapsync added some code patching bugs and still calling old "good" routines. Those calls don't work with 3.xx > There's even a patch in the bugreport you quote. Not enough. > And I still fail to see what _exactly_ is wrong in the new > version of Mail::IMAPClient. The upstream author is very > responsive but I guess "my application doesn't work > anymore" is not enough to make him change the code. Yes, I said "my application doesn't work anymore" but I didn't say "change the code". Changing the code is a bad idea. I just say to debian maintainers "wait before upgrading to 3.xx since it breaks imapsync, that is to say 25% of reverse dependencies of libmail-imapclient-perl". Just wait, or better, reverse to the old working 2.2.9 one, at least for lenny/testing. Keep 3.xx work in /tmp/, it will work when imapsync is ready. imapsync will support 3.xx, 2.2.9, and everyone will be happy :-) for the moment, it doesn't. It is my last message about this, I won't fight with this problem anymore. I'll spend my time fixing/coding imapsync, knowing 3.xx adaptation is not a priority. It was but I spent to much time on this subject with the Mail::IMAPClient new maintainer, debugging his new code that could not work, knowing he told me it worked and suggested my environment was the problem, I really believed it, I was wrong :-) 3.xx might be good now and near a good link with imapsync. I need to adapt imapsync and my test suite to check that. Before that test, 3.xx is still beta code for me. 3.xx new maintainer has no regression test, I have and I respect them. Unlike this message suggests it, I'm happy and proud there is a new maintainer for Mail::IMAPClient, really. imapsync has a foundation : Mail::IMAPClient -- Au revoir, 02 99 64 31 77 06 20 79 76 06 Gilles Lamiral.
