Package: gnu-fdisk Version: 1.2.3-1 Followup-For: Bug #536400 Hello,
I can confirm this problem is still present in version 1.2.3-1. Manpages of the original fdisk and sfdisk get diverted like this: diversion of /usr/share/man/man8/cfdisk.8.gz to /usr/share/man/man8/cfdisk.8.gz.distrib by gnu-fdisk diversion of /usr/share/man/man8/fdisk.8.gz to /usr/share/man/man8/fdisk.8.gz.distrib by gnu-fdisk So, with a suffix .8.gz.distrib, these manpages are unavailable, except by manually gunziping their content and passing it to man, which is not really a friendly way to look for documentation: zcat /usr/share/man/man8/cfdisk.8.gz.distrib | man -l - Regards, -- Tanguy Ortolo -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0.2 APT prefers stable APT policy: (990, 'stable'), (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.30-1-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages gnu-fdisk depends on: ii dpkg 1.14.25 Debian package management system ii install-info 4.13a.dfsg.1-4 Manage installed documentation in ii libc6 2.9-12 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libncurses5 5.7+20081213-1 shared libraries for terminal hand ii libparted1.8-12 1.8.8.git.2009.07.19-5 The GNU Parted disk partitioning s ii libreadline5 5.2-3.1 GNU readline and history libraries ii libuuid1 2.16-3 Universally Unique ID library gnu-fdisk recommends no packages. gnu-fdisk suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
