I see. Do you know how to pass that switch through ifupdown? I haven't maanged to figure it out, short of editing /etc/wpa_supplicant/functions.sh. Also I wonder if this is not really a bug, or at least a documentation issue, either in wpasupplicant or network-manager. After all network-manager in managed mode, following the documented procedure, clearly conflicts with ifupdown/wpa_supplicant, again following the documented procedure for roaming support.
