Dear all -
the version of CL-SWANK in unstable this morning still has the problem
reported by Rupert -- while CLC (Common-lisp-controller) probably is
fixed, it still doesn't export the function requested by CL-SWANK so
that CLC can tell SWANK where to place the FASLs.
(CLC:Calculate-FASL-Root).
I believe this problem has been fixed in cl-swank 20100220-4 uploaded
just a while ago. When it appears in the archive, please test it.

It fixes the reported problem, and introduces another --- which isn't
CLC's fault
FWIW, slime works for me with sbcl 1:1.0.34.0-1. And
(require 'sb-bsd-sockets)
works in my sbcl prompt.
