The new debian version doesn't even make it to the screen.

That fixed it. Installing an updated version of the same script that
caused the crash doesn't bring troubles too.
I wonder how this happened just with a new debian (not upstream)
version of amarok...
FTR, the culprit was Ultimate Lyrics.
