I got some kernel oops with the latest nvidia modules (195.36.24-1) on a
vanilla kernel 2.6.34 even with or without binutils-gold. Fortunately these
oops doesn't crash this system.
I reported the problem at NVNews forum (
http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=151032 ) and I got this
reopen 581336 !
retitle 581336 oops while loading kernel module built with binutils-gold
reassign 581336 binutils-gold 2.20.51.20100418-1

Please try building the module with module-assistant:
install nvidia-kernel-source
install linux-headers-2.6.32-5-amd64
install module-assistant
run m-a a-i nvidia
remove nvidia-kernel-dkms
make sure the module generated by dkms is gone
try to load the module
