Package: lvm2 Version: the man page for vgchange and vgscan fail to state exported drives must be imported before activated Severity: normal
The man page for vgscan and vgchange do not state that exported volumes must first be imported using vgimport. The rather cryptic message that "$volume .. exported" is not mentioned in the man page of vgchange or vgscan. Therefore, users may wrongly think they have lost access to an lvm volume. -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0.5 APT prefers stable APT policy: (900, 'stable'), (600, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.34 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_AU.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_AU.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
