Hey everyone,

Here's what I came up with for the first draft of the new page. If there's
anything that you want added just let me know, or feel free to add it! For
the introduction I took parts of other pages that I thought would be
relevant to the information given here.

I have added two small notes, one at the end of the intro paragraph and
one under "Publicity/Events". If someone could take a look at those that
would be great! (:

I'm also unsure of how the formatting should be done, I was just following
Francesca's example on the report. That's something I could work on for
version 2!

Thanks!

How can you help Debian?

If you are considering helping in the development of Debian there are many
areas in which both experienced and inexperienced users can assist.
there are many ways you can get involved with the project and only few of them
require you to be a Debian Developer.
Many of the different projects have mechanisms to allow direct access to source
code trees to contributors that have shown they are trustworthy and valuable.
Typically, people which find that they can get much more involved in Debian
will <a href="http://www.debian.org/devel/join/";>join the project</a>, but this
is not always required.

Finally, Debian provides many <a href="https://wiki.debian.org/Teams";>teams</a>
of developers working together on common tasks. Anybody can participate on a
team, whether an official Debian Developer or not.
