Update to my previous message:
1. I see after purging and reinstalling the package that the bash-completion
file is indeed installed in /usr/share/bash-completion/completions/ , so my
finding it in /etc/bash_completions.d appears to

Bash completion does not seem to work with Unison.
A completion file is present,
/etc/bash_completion.d/unison/unison.completion.bash, but it seems not to be
used.
complete |grep unison returns nothing.
