Hello. As said here (http://marc.info/?l=nginx&m=121186699326604&w=2), Igor (one of the nginx developers) said this is a normal behavior.
I agree with him, because if you run "nginx -t" to test your config file before a reload on a production server, it's not good to have the pidfile removed. So I think we should not try to fix this issue as it's a normal behavior. Kartik, Michael, what do you think ?
