The last exodusii release (v6.09) is from Oct. 2014 and SEACAS' exodus
has a couple of bug fixes and extra features (e.g. exodiff executable)
of top of that.
Plus, tarballs have been taken down from sourceforge.

Exodus is developed as part of SEACAS [1] for a while now. While separate
releases are still being published [2], it might make more sense to use the
Trilinos package [3] to provide SEACAS and Exodus.
