Package: octave-image Version: 2.6.1-2 Severity: minor I suspect the Depends: imagemagick is outdated and no longer necessary. >From what I can tell, octave-image used to contain image functions that called the "convert" command line utility directly. That no longer seems to be the case. The Build-Depends does not contain imagemagick, and the full test suite runs without it.
Does anyone know whether functions in this package still require the imagemagick command line interface to be installed? If it can be removed, Description making reference to ImageMagick should also be updated / revised. -- System Information: Debian Release: buster/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (900, 'testing'), (800, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.9.0-3-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages octave-image depends on: ii imagemagick 8:6.9.7.4+dfsg-11 ii imagemagick-6.q16 [imagemagick] 8:6.9.7.4+dfsg-11 ii libc6 2.24-12 ii libgcc1 1:7.1.0-7 pn liboctave3v5 <none> ii liboctave4 4.2.1-2 ii libstdc++6 7.1.0-7 ii octave 4.2.1-2 octave-image recommends no packages. octave-image suggests no packages.
