Oddly, no extension broke after the upgrade to v78, despite the 2 version
difference.
I think it is time for this bug report to be closed...

It's a real shame that chromium's built in mechanism had to be triggered in
order for the typical debian users to understand how far behind debian's
chromium is.
I had opened this bug report 1+ month ago and yet the "advocates" of this bad

It has been a month since the release of chromium 77 and still nothing in the
repos. Why such a big delay?
Plus, on 2 weeks max, chromium 78 will be released from upstream, so don't
bother building it.

Chromium 77 was released 2 weeks ago (Sept 10th) and it has not reached the
repos yet. Since then, it has also received a minor update, from 77.0..75
to 77.0..90. And in those 2 weeks, not even the source package
