I disabled all addons and also tried safe mode: Doesn't make a
difference. I didn't try to create a fresh profile.
And I couldn't find any bugs on the Debian tracker

please keep in mind that some AddOns do not add only some new
functionality but also can change some general settings within
Thunderbird. So before sending bug reports it's important that you have
checked some things before firing a new bug report.

After upgrading Thunderbird to version 68.5, the new mail dialogue wraps lines
after 54 characters instead of the commonly used 72.
