The core library (e.g. libc6) installed correctly, but I think, the
new multiarch set of packages is still missing something:

Hmmm, found it: apt-get install lib32ncurses5 does the trick.
But it looks like it's not yet migrated to the new multiarch framework,
and does have a wrong dependency on libc6-i386 instead of

/lib/i386-linux-gnu/i686
