the bash builtin getopts does not have a man page (tested on etch
only). thanks for the hard work.

bittorrent uses a lot of my processor's resources. upstream indicates
that there is a bug in libc on some unix systems (bsd and solaris).
they provide a command-line option as a workaround. however, the Debian
version does not include this
Package: sshfs

i encountered the same problem. sshfs does not work at all unless the
fuse module is loaded.
# sshfs 192.168.1.2: tmp
Password:
FATAL: Module fuse not found.
# apt-get install fuse-source
# m-a a-i fuse

Package: sshfs
Version: 1.2-1
Followup-For: Bug #334513
looks like the fuse module was added to the linux kernel as of
2.6.14, which eliminated the need for a separate fuse-module package.
i imagine this is why the recommends points to a non-existent
package. testing users will need to use
Package: sshfs
Version: 1.2-1
Severity: normal
it is claimed that as of fuse 2.4.0 or later that an adding a line such
as
[EMAIL PROTECTED]://mnt/hostfusedefaults0 0
to /etc/fstab should allow the user to be able to mount a remote drive
via sshfs. this doesn't work for me.

couldn't you always halt the nfs daemon during mount's preinst
(similar to dbus and
other services during their upgrades)? then reactivate during postinst?
