When I run growfs.ufs on partition or image, grows reports:

You could reproduce this way:

to work around.
We will drop the debian/ directory as soon as it's added to Debian.
It's a pain for us to maintain this too.
I will try to find some time tonight to straighten out what I have got
so far and push that to the repository.
