its been a while since this was last discussed, and it seemed tagging
a new release was pre-requisite to being added back to debian. Thus, I
have forked the fork, and tagged a release, shown below:

I can't seem to figure why, it compiles fine on my machine. the error
you're showing is due to libsdbus-c++-dev being missing from your
system. If this is not in the build-deps, a simple fix would be to add
this package to them.

The Plymouth Package has a hard-dependency on systemd for installation. This
should not be the case, seeing as there are initscripts present for it. I have
