I can confirm what Michael in
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1051496#22 writes
that that mailgraph neither works in 1.14.20 nor in 1.14.21 the patch
provided by Vincent Lefevre is not added to mailgraph so this bug so be
raised to 'package unusable' accordingly.
Proof:
severity 1051496 normal
tags 1051496 + moreinfo

thank you for spending your time helping to make Debian better with this bug
report.
We are using mailgraph one multiple server with Debian Bullseye, Bookworm and
Trixie without any failure.
Therefore I set the severity to
Debian 12 Bookworm
Package: mailgraph
Version: 1.14-21
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable
I installed mailgraph from Debian Trixie testing hoping to get the fixes
mentioned in: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1051496
However, it still fails to run
