I have just installed linphone 3.3.2 There is a PulseAudio: default choice in the device list. I didn't test it, since the daemon is not installed on my system (libpulse0 is). Maybe the package could recommend or suggest pulseaudio, to get the same functionnality? dmix is of little use nowadays,

the dev_id should point to the alsa device (the numbering is made in the order linphone detects sound devices, first oss /dev/dsp, then alsa devices. The alsadev is a hack that applies to alsa detected cards only. So normally if your linphone already uses the alsa device, thus adding
