Hi,
Thanks for the ucf output. Unfortunately, since it was not run
as root, ucf put itself into a dry-run mode, and as you can see, it
exited with a success (9) value, so the bug we are hunting was not
triggered.
Could I trouple you to run the command as root, or under sudo?
Could you please issue these three commands?
ls -l /etc/papersize.dpkg-inst /etc/papersize
which ucf
apt-cache policy ucf
then, execute these two commands:
echo a4 /etc/papersize.dpkg-inst
ucf -d /etc/papersize.dpkg-inst /etc/papersize
echo $?
please send to this bug report all output you get
