Hello,
tried to reproduce this, but unfortunately it fails to build against
gcc-8, for which #897707 is already open.
Therefore tried to reproduce it with gcc-7.
I think this is what happens:

- buffer gets deleted

This issue was caused by chrpath being invoked even when the binaries
were not being installed. The use of chrpath during the build was
removed in 3.0.0-1, so this should no longer be an issue.

Hi Samuel,
thanks for the fast response.
Unfortunately this problem does not occur regularly but only occasionally. But if it happens, it happens for roughly
half an hour.
Will checks the Xorg logs as soon as it happens again.
Currently I don't see anything conspicuous, but it's difficult to

Package: im-config

Severity: critical
Justification: breaks unrelated software
im-config currently generates an error at login:
/usr/lib/gdm3/gdm-x-session[6333]: /etc/gdm3/Xsession: 59:
/usr/share/im-config/data/21_ibus.rc: Syntax error: "fi" unexpected (expecting

upstream just "fixed" this by disabling the warning, fwiw
I cherry picked the attached patch from upstream (which tbh, is a bit
hilarious) to fix the build in Ubuntu.
I also had to add libgmock-dev to build-depends, but i don't know if that's
needed in debian.
